Conservative Party members in Kanata-Carleton have nominated local and internationally-known fashion designer Justina McCaffery as their candidate for the 2019 federal election. The nomination vote was held in Kanata over the weekend.
“Canada’s Conservatives have a positive vision for Canada, and having Justina join our team will ensure Kanata-Carleton gets the strong representation they deserve in a Conservative government that will lower taxes, and put people before government,” said Scott Lamb, President of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Justina is a successful entrepreneur and wedding dress designer in the Ottawa region with over two decades of experience as a small business owner. As owner of Justina McCaffrey Inc., she built a client base that grew her company from Ottawa roots, to nationally renowned, and now has strong footing in international markets like Paris and New York, while competing with some of the world’s biggest fashion brands. McCaffery’s experience building a small business from the ground up has allowed her to understand the challenges and obstacles facing Canadians from all walks of life.
“The next election is just over a year away, and I’m going to work every day to help show residents of Kanata-Carleton how an Andrew Scheer Conservative government will help them not just get by, but get ahead,” said McCaffery. “Kanata-Carleton is a hub of tech innovation, but it needs the right kind of political leadership to ensure that it can attract investment and entrepreneurs, and I’ll fight to do just that.”
